We’re not a responsible brand, but we're focused on becoming the most responsible version of ourselves. Committed to making better choices every day across the business to minimise our social and environmental impact. We see this as our moral obligation.

All Month of May styles are made responsible by using rescued fabrics from overstock or organic cotton and recycled cashmere.

RESCUED FABRICS

RECYCLED & 100% ORGANIC KNITWEAR

RE-CYCELING together, towards a better future. What makes our products sustainable, is not only the origin, but also the production used. Our production in Italy focuses on responsible innovation, with certifications such as RWS, GRS, OEKO TEX and BCI, and are committed to “Life Cycle Assessment” (valuation of the life cycle of a product ) as an important tool for the implementation of an integrated policy regarding the products as well as “Life Cycle Thinking” — an objective method of evaluation of quantifiable energetic and environmental loads which can potentially impact a product during its entire life cycle, from the gathering of the raw materials until the end of its life — from the cradle to the grave.

RECYCLED CASHMERE

Our knitwear supplier is one of the largest fine wool suppliers based in Italy. The cashmere yarn are produced from cashmere garment that have been brought back to life. The journey begins when the cashmere sweaters are taken to the recycling plant in italy, where it is checked and divided into color by hand, so that the final yarn can be made without over-dyeing the fiber, which saves using any water, dyes and excess electricity as well as CO2.

All linking and trims are removed from the sweaters ensuring that only the cashmere is left. The color groups are then chopped into smaller pieces and finally combed back to fiber. The fibers are then being spun and produced into new recycled yarn.

The process is certified by GRS (Global Recycling Standard) that is promoted by Textile Exchange, a non-profit organisation that promotes International sustainable production in the textile industry. Their purpose is to enclose the reduction of resource consumption of virgin raw materials, electricity, water energy and dyes at the same time to increase the quality of the recycled product.
